The magnificent Villa Doria Pamphili in Rome

Click here for your ideal holiday let in Rome

The Villa Doria Pamphili is a park of the city of Rome, which like many other city parks originates from the country estate of a noble Roman family. It is also the representative office of the Italian government.

The Villa Doria Pamphili is the largest urban public park in Rome (184 hectares), just outside the walls in the neighborhood Gianicolense.

With its 184 hectares is the largest park in Rome and is one of the "villas" best preserved of the city: the only alteration made was done to open road Via Olimpica (via Leone XIII) that has divided the old estate in two.

Opening hours:

October to February: 7:00 to 18:00

March and September: 7:00 to 20:00

April-August: 7:00 to 21:00

How to reach Villa Doria Pamphili from Penthouse Apartment Monteverde Rome:

Take tram 8 for 3 stops direction Casaletto (basically it is the end of he line). Keep walking on Circonvallazione Gianicolense for about 350 meters until you reach Via Vitellia and your destination.
