Ales and beer come to Rome in February for the Londinium Cask Festival

From February 25th to February 28th, a few steps from the Colosseum, will take place a long weekend dedicated to ales and homegrown beers, all strictly "cask". England is one of the lead nations in the brewing culture, with its unique beers known throughout the world.

The Londinium Cask Festival will take place at the Folk Tree's (Via Capo D'Africa 29) in the presence of 30 breweries (10 from London, 10 in and around Rome, 5 Italian and 5 from England). Each brewery will carry two types of beer, for a total of 60 active cask in 4 days. Italian guests include White Dog, Ethnicity, Brewery Arches, Mk-77 and Malt Cross, while, from England, will arrive Burning Sky, Anarchy, The Celt, Hopback and North Riding.

During the event there will be a kind of friendly match between Italy and England, and in particular between their Cities, Rome and London. In fact, you will have the opportunity to taste both the Real Ale "original" English and the Roman "homegrown" produced according to the tradition of the Anglo-Saxon methods.
